The picture above is not my house.  BUT, I happen to live in an area that is dealing with flooding as a result of Hurricane Matthew.  Fortunately for me, my home is not flooded and I have electricity and clean water...but it could still get worse.  Right now, my ability to move around the city is severely impacted, though. And as days continue to pass and we wait for the river to crest, my ability to move around becomes more and more limited. Depending on where you live - some places are better and some are worse.  Some people have lost everything. Its rough.  My elderly parents and my sister live in a city about 90 minutes away from me and haven't had electricity since Saturday.  This storm has been devastating in so many ways, but I am thankful that my family circle is intact.  There are so many people who are worse off - so I have no reason to complain,

This happens to be my second time going through a flood.  In 1999 my city was also flooded.  It was horrible and left a significant impact.  In some ways, that has resulted in me being a bit more knowledgeable about what to expect and how to handle it.  Once the river crests, I am hopeful that slowly but surely the waters will recede and things will get back to normal.  Going through an experience like this helps you to realize what is most important.

As far as Ebay goes, I have managed to list a few things and have even sold a few.  But I can attest to the fact that shipping will be delayed.  In the next 24 hours I may not even be able to reach the post office.  As a result of that, I am not hoping for too many sales.  I even considering putting everything on 5 day handling  - thinking things may be cleared up by then. We'll see how that goes.  Honestly, I have too much going on to really worry about it.

Have you ever experienced a flood?

Back on the Block

Hey!  Just wanted to let ya'll know that I am alive and well.  Although I have't posted anything lately, I have still been selling.  I'm not out here making a killing.....but I'm not trying to.  My goal is to have steady sales - and not to have a bunch of inventory everywhere.  So, I think I have been successful in doing that.  Here is a quick snapshot of some of my most recent sales.
